Saryal develops software with a focus on thoughtful design, performance and practical AI. That is the whole brief, and it is more restrictive than it sounds.

Thoughtful design means we decide things so the person using the product does not have to. A product that needs a settings page to be usable has not finished being designed.

Performance means the product is fast on the hardware people already own, not fast on a benchmark machine. Speed is a feature we build in from the start, because it cannot be added convincingly later.

Practical AI means we use AI where it produces a measurably better result and leave it out where it does not. We are more interested in what a product does for someone at the end of a working day than in which model produced it.

How we work

We build a small number of products at a time and finish them. Each one is released when it is genuinely usable rather than when a date arrives, which is why our catalogue is short and why we label anything unreleased plainly as unreleased.

Support comes from the people who write the software. When you email us about a problem, it reaches someone who can fix it.
